Poems and Poetry

Guy Farmer

When I reflect on being a poet, I’m very grateful that I get to pursue my bliss. Writing poetry isn’t just something I do, it’s who I am at my core. I’m lucky enough to wake up each day and be able to create new poems that reflect my vision and hopefully make the world a better place.

I wasn’t always a poet, most of my life I followed the voices in my mind that told me I couldn’t be who I wanted to be. I spent many years trying to be someone else, which always ended in disaster and heartache because I wasn’t following my true path. When I finally decided to pay attention to my voice, I started writing poetry and have never regretted it for a single moment.

My poetry examines the frailties, foibles, and triumphs of people in general. I especially enjoy looking at hurt and brokenness, not because I dwell in it, but rather because I believe people can heal and become more whole. You’re cordially invited to read my poems.
