Small Chance | A Poem by Guy Farmer

Run, jump, jubilant, free.
Hunker, flinch, frown, ossify.
Two outwardly normal men
Sat pensive on a park bench.
One admired the birds in the sky
Playing a carefree game.
The other saw a small
Chance of heavy rain and
Intractable despondency.
