A Life – An Anthology | A Poem by P.K. Deb

A life resembles an Anthology —
a collection of poems —
exploring the three entities —
body mind and soul,
exhibiting different facial gestures —
happy, sad, angry, horrified, beautiful,
Lustful and painful,
composed by the seasoned and fried poets —
traversing a life by chance or in general,
keeping no scope for choice-making,
sneaking it out of a dictionary;
ought to read all the pages – line by line
and ought to sing all the lyrics
with or without the rhythm of good luck
till turning over the last page,
perceiving the meaning of the last line
and exhaling a cool air on the words, “The End”.
