Poems and Poetry

Another Day | A Poem by Guy Farmer

A blossom
Doesn’t care about
Anything other than
Being a flower,
Beautiful.
Someone comes
Along and deems it
Inadequate,
Frightening,
Unimportant.
Strangles it.
The plant lays
Dormant,
Anticipating
Another day.
