Poems and Poetry

Love | A Poem by April Mae M. Berza

If love swings from might to must,
then let one’s heart dictate the brain
for we are no longer prisoners of the past
since we have freed ourselves from pain.

Now that we can fully embrace the future,
there are mysteries I would like to share –
the wounded past has a cure
you must treat it with love and care.

To end it, we must begin the present,
unwrap the mornings with a smile;
now that the two of us are meant
for each other, I’m yours, you’re mine.
