Decisions, Decisions | A Poem by Scott Thomas Outlar

I’m having trouble trying to decide
what to do with this dagger
that’s been placed in my side.
Whether I should kindly ask
that you remove it now,
or whether I should place
my hand upon yours
and help you twist it a bit deeper
to bring about the end a little quicker.
