Exotic Paradox | A Poem by Ivan Jenson

The way that I see it
is not the way
that you do
and the conclusions
that I have come to
differ from the
solutions you have
arrived at
and the tried
and true
that I take
is to you
as foreign
as the words written
by an ancient
Asian sage
in a paperback
at a knickknack shop
in Chinatown
and that is how
I know
that the only way
to get you
to try the Wonton
is to recommend
the Egg Drop
